- Start Early
Begin packing at least 1–2 weeks before your move. Label boxes clearly by room and contents. The earlier you start, the smoother move-day will be.
- Declutter First
Donate, sell, or toss items you don’t need. Less clutter means less time — and lower moving costs.
- Pack Smart
Use strong boxes, tape the bottoms well, and fill gaps with paper or towels. Heavy items (like books) go in small boxes, light items in big ones.
- Label Everything
Mark each box with the room name (Kitchen, Bedroom, etc.) and a quick note of what’s inside. Use color stickers or a numbering system if possible.
- Keep Essentials Separate
Pack an “Essentials Box” for your first night — phone chargers, toiletries, towels, bedding, snacks, etc. Keep it in your car or with you.
- Disassemble in Advance
If you can, take apart beds, tables, and shelving the day before the move. Put screws in a labeled bag and tape it to the furniture. This means less time for us, and less cost for you.
- Clear Pathways
Make sure driveways, hallways, and stairs are clear of clutter so movers can work safely and efficiently.
- Prepare Appliances
Empty and defrost fridges/freezers 24 hours before moving. Disconnect and drain washers, dryers, or water lines.
- Keep Valuables with You
Carry jewelry, cash, passports, and important papers yourself — not in the moving truck.
- Confirm Details
Double-check your address, access codes, parking, and elevator. bookings before move day. Let your movers know of any tight spots or fragile items.
